Original Pastel Art
 

Sticks of soft pastel are made from pure pigment blended in a clay binder and are essentially lightly compressed sticks of pigment with the ability to deposit strokes of intense color. It's considered a very direct and tactile art medium with minimal manipulation needed beyond layering hues on the paper.  They are  applied to textured  or sanded paper or card by hand, and are framed under glass.
